Ahmedabad

adalaj step wellOur first full day of sightseeing begins with a visit to Adalaj Step Well, Akshardham Temple, Sidi Saiyyed Mosque, Swetambara Temple, and if we are able to secure tickets, the Gandhi Ashram.

In the afternoon you are free to explore the town or take a rest before an early dinner followed by a guided walking tour of the ancient city.

Poshina
Mohera Sun TempleAfter breakfast we leave Ahmedabad for Poshina, stopping en-route to visit the 11th Century, Mohera Sun Temple, dedicated Surya the Sun God. The evening is free to explore your surrounds.

Poshina
1000 horsesWe're spending the day visiting two local tribes, the Bhil and Garasia, taking in daily life and visiting the famous terracotta horses. Tens and thousands of Terracota Horses can be seen lined up at sacred shrines as offerings for wishes fulfilled.

Dasada
Kumbharia Jain TemplesBefore leaving Poshina this morning, we will visit the nearby Kumbharia Jain Temples built in the 11th century. Afterwards we drive west to Dasada stopping en-route in Patan to see the step-well, followed by a demonstration of Ikat textile weaving.

Little Rann of Kutch
Kutch HomesToday we make the beautiful journey through Gajurat to the Little Rann of Kutch where we will spend dinner with our guides family in their home.

Little Rann of Kutch
wild ass kutchToday we have a full day excursion of the Little Rann of Kutch starting with a visit to the parklands to witness the indigenous wild ass and other wild animals, and finishing the day visiting the women of the Mir and Rabari tribes who create beautiful traditional textiles.

Little Rann of Kutch
Great Rann MirageAfter breakfast we spend another full day visiting the villages of this remote area. We will visit a Jat community and admire their handiwork before heading north towards the edge of the Great Rann to see the mirage of the salt flats on the horizon which is known as “White Sands”.

Mandvi
Gujarat EmbroideryToday we travel to the Arabian Sea to spend the evening relaxing by the coast or visiting the markets in town. En-route we will stop in the capital of the Kutch region, Bhuj, to visit the Aina Mahal and Kachchh Museum, with its exceptional collection of embroideries and the local textiles.

Jamnagar
JamnagarFollowing breakfast we make our way around the Gulf of Kutch to Jamnagar. On arrival we visit Bala Hanuman Temple, famous for their continuous chanting of Jai Ram, Shri Ram.

Dwarka
Bhadkeshwar Mahadev TempleThis morning we proceed to Dwarka and visit Bhadkeshwar Mahadev Temple on the edge of the Arabian Sea, and Bet Dwarka, home to Krishna. In the evening we are able to attend evening Aarti at Dwarkadhish Temple.

Somnath
Somnath TempleThis morning we travel alongside the Arabian Sea, stopping in Porbandar, the birthplace of Gandhi, to visit a small Kirti Temple/museum next to Gandhi’s ancestral home. In the evening we're able to participate in Aarti at Somnath Temple which is followed by a light and sound show.

Sasan Gir
Sasan Gir Lion SanctuaryFollowing breakfast we drive to our resort at Sasan Gir, home to the Asiatic Lion Sanctuary. You can enjoy the resort facilities and have an evening of leisure.

Palitana
Vijay Villa PalaceThis morning we check out of our rooms and enjoy a jeep safari through the sanctuary. In the afternoon we make our way to Palitana, and stay in a heritage property, home to the royal family of Palitana.

Kevadia
Palitana TemplesToday we head to Kevadia after visiting the amazing Mount Shertunjaya, home to 900 temples.

Ahmedabad
Valley of FlowersFollowing breakfast we visit the 182m tall Statue of Unity and adjacent Valley of Flowers before making our way back to Ahmedabad for airport transfers and sad farewells.
